POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The general surgeon will work in a collaborative, dynamic environment with an integrated, multi-disciplinary outpatient care team including other physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, RNs, LPNs, and medical assistants. This includes scribes and non-clinical staff to perform administrative tasks, ensuring physicians are able to focus solely on patient care.
General duties of the role may include, based on surgeon background and preferences:
Surgeons see a variable number of patients per day, based upon patient needs and types of cases scheduled.
The organization uses the AthenaHealth EHR.

COMPENSATION:
- $325,000 to $580,000 Base Salary, dependent upon experience

- surgically treat a variety of illnesses and injuries
- open surgery
- laparoscopic surgery
- skin cancer removal
- bariatric weight loss surgery
- other general surgeries

REQUIREMENTS:
- New York medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified or Eligible, General Surgery
- no practice experience required
