About Us: The Sentinel of Port Jervis is a welcoming assisted living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and an excellent dining experience for our residents. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food Service Director to lead our culinary operations and ensure that every meal exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all food service operations, including menu planning, meal preparation, and kitchen management.
Lead, train, and schedule kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety.
Develop and maintain menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs and dietary preferences.
Manage budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective operations.
Ensure compliance with state and local health department regulations.
Foster a positive dining experience that enhances residents’ quality of life.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Food Service Director, Executive Chef, or in a similar leadership role in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality.
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and dietary guidelines.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a team effectively.
Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred.
