Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of food service operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals that meet clinical dietary standards and resident preferences.
Manage, train, and inspire dietary staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Coordinate with nursing and clinical teams to ensure resident dietary needs, restrictions, and preferences are met with care and accuracy.
Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including DOH, OSHA, and infection control standards.
Develop menus in collaboration with registered dietitians, incorporating seasonal variety, cultural sensitivity, and resident feedback.
Manage department budget, inventory control, and vendor relationships to ensure efficiency and quality.
Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to ensure food safety, sanitation, and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Food Service Director or Manager in a healthcare or long-term care setting required.
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or equivalent certification preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
In-depth knowledge of DOH regulations, HACCP standards, and MDS dietary requirements.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and a diverse team of culinary professionals.
