General Job Description The Director of Food & Beverage guides the success of all culinary and beverage experiences at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach. This role leads strategy, operations, and culture across our restaurants, bars, poolside, catering, and in-room dining, ensuring each outlet not only meets financial and guest service goals but also captures the unique energy of The Standard brand.

Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 5 years of progressive Food & Beverage leadership experience in luxury hotels or related fields
Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, payroll, and forecasting
Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Proven track record of driving service standards, revenue growth, and employee engagement
Deep knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations
Professional presence with the ability to lead by example on the floor
Passion for hospitality, culture, and delivering memorable guest experiences
Key Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and tactical expertise for all Food & Beverage concepts across the property
Oversee day-to-day operations of outlets, catering, in-room dining, and bar programs to ensure quality, consistency, and profitability
Drive revenue generation while maintaining adherence to operating budgets and controlling costs
Prepare financial reports including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance analyses
Maintain and elevate service standards in alignment with The Standard’s brand promise
Regularly engage with guests, maintaining a visible presence in outlets to anticipate needs and resolve issues
Recruit, select, and develop key Food & Beverage leaders, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and creativity
Drive employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention by creating a supportive and inspiring work environment
Partner closely with the Executive Chef to maintain strong front-of-house and back-of-house collaboration
Collaborate with design and corporate teams on new concepts and activations
Curate partnerships and vendor relationships to expand offerings and keep experiences fresh, relevant, and culturally connected
Implement sustainability strategies across all F&B operations
Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Marketing, Spa, and Membership, to support cross-property initiatives
Participate as a member of the Executive Committee, contributing to the overall management and success of the hotel
Partner with the General Manager on strategic planning, innovation, and execution of high-level initiatives
Physical Requirements Ability to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands
Ability to safely handle sharp objects and work around flammable materials
Exposure to hot and cold temperature extremes in kitchen and outdoor environments
Ability to move, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Occasional kneeling, sitting, crouching, and climbing
