Sales & Marketing Director The Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for developing, executing, and managing membership strategies that support the growth, retention, and satisfaction of corporate members. This includes overseeing sales, budgeting, corporate account acquisition, retention programs, marketing strategy, and team coordination. The role requires a proactive leader with strong sales, communication, and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Manage & maintain CRM database of active prospects and current accounts. Utilize sales techniques to overcome objections and close deals. Meet and exceed monthly sales and corporate membership targets. Maintain an active sales pipeline. Process corporate membership contracts and paperwork accurately and on time Work closely with Membership Sales Coordinator on marketing initiativesSupport the development of the facility's annual membership budget in coordination with the core management team. Create and distribute articles for monthly newsletters (as applicable) in coordination with the marketing manager. Provide cost/benefit analysis for membership programs. Conduct facility tours and personalized sales presentations for prospective members. Manage telephone solicitation, lead generation, and follow-up communications for corporate accounts. Complete new member registration and manage membership additions or cancellations. Design and implement corporate member retention programs and strategies. Develop and drive marketing, promotional materials, and engagement strategies for corporate partnerships in coordination with the marketing manager. Ensure front desk team is informed about corporate membership promotions and updates. Serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled. Communicate and enforce rules tactfully and professionally. Stay informed on industry trends by networking, reading, and attending seminars or meetings. Attend all required training sessions and staff meetings. Meet regularly with supervisor to discuss goals and performance. Ensure work areas are clean, safe, and organized. This position reports to the General Manager. Marketing Manager reports to this position. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, business, marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a multi-recreational or fitness facility environment. Extensive prior sales experience in a service-driven industry is highly desirable. Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain). Proven leadership, organizational, and time-management abilities. Skilled in budgeting and cost analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to work independently and show initiative. Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated team leader. Comfortable enforcing policies with tact and diplomacy. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
