Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, this role is accountable for overall leadership of the Financial Risk area inside CRM, advising the executive team and/or business unit senior management on complex risk management issues across all existing and new businesses. This position leads a team to support major product lines, major product development, product management, risk management and financial development with major impact on the enterprise. This position is responsible for developing and monitoring risk frameworks with respect to derivatives including hedge efficiency, liquidity risk, OTC counterparty derivative risk, and financial sensitivities. Strategic involvement in all company-wide projects affecting the risk profile of Allianz Life. Consulting in new product risk review. Providing risk guidance and 2nd-line-support to new and existing strategic growth initiatives (Hedge Strategy, Liquidity, Accounting volatility).
What you do: Lead projects from a risk perspective that have major impact on the enterprise Manage major development and design of financial systems, analytical and valuation methodologies Provide analysis and recommendations regarding financial and risk implications of new products, regulations and accounting practices Perform reporting, planning and analysis around economic and the regulatory solvency position and dividend paying capacity of our company Manage, train and direct work of other managing actuaries, providing employee and career development Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g.generative AI)
What you bring: 11+ years’ experience required Four-year degree required in Math, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or related field Licensing/Certification/Other: Actuarial accreditation, CFA or FRM designation Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.
Job Posting Range $160,000 - $220,000 Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role.
