Our team is seeking a Facilities Manager who shares our faith and values and is committed to helping maintain and manage our church campus so that ministry can flourish. Position Summary: This part-time role (approx. 15-20 hours/week, onsite 2 days/week) involves managing and maintaining the church facility and grounds. The Facilities Manager will work closely with staff, contractors, and volunteers to ensure a clean, safe, and functional space for all ministries and events. Key Responsibilities: Open and inspect the facility each Sunday morning. Oversee custodial staff and maintenance contractors. Manage the facilities and custodial budget. Set up and break down spaces for events. Maintain lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and general facility needs. Coordinate pest control, fire safety inspections, and routine maintenance. Report and advise on facility-related needs to the Trustee Committee and attend monthly meetings. Qualifications: Hands-on experience with general maintenance preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Alignment with the mission and values of Bethlehem First UMC. Willingness to be on call for urgent facility needs. Schedule & Compensation: Part-time: 15-20 hours/week Onsite presence required 2 days/week during church office hours Flexible hours with some weekend work (Sunday mornings required) Additional compensation per event for set-up/break-down of weddings, funerals, or outside rentals $17,000-$17,500 annually
