The Opportunity

Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, the Deal Technology practice works on the most complex and high-profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in IT who are serial transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Director with EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Deal Technology practice, you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing IT focused projects. You'll execute and manage projects across all sectors, supporting our client service team in developing and executing strategies for transactions. Part of your role will also involve developing experience across a range of different type of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g., operational, and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g., integration planning, tracking). Having a commercial mind-set is key to this consulting-based role.

To Qualify For The Role, You Must Have

A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, business information and operations management, or analytics and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience. MBA is preferred. Significant management consulting experience. Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights. Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis. Experience leading and managing in complex business environments. The ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally. Expertise in a minimum of 4 of the following IT skillsets: IT strategy, enterprise architecture, infrastructure and cloud architecture, cyber and IAM architecture, digital technology strategy, digital IT operating model transformation, IT cost reduction, IT security/cyber, IT shared services, IT organization transformation, ERP implementation, digital business enablement using digital technology enablers (i.e., advanced analytics, robotic process automation, virtual reality), cloud SaaS/PaaS (including collaboration) strategy and delivery, cloud IaaS/data center migration planning and execution, identity and access management/directory services strategy, IT service management and TSA development, cybersecurity operations center (SOC) or managed service provider, IT finance management, IT infrastructure management, IT outsourcing / offshoring, IT contract management, IT or cyber diligence, IT synergy identification, data governance, separation, and transition. Experience with and demonstrated success in at least one key business process such as procurement to pay, record to report, order to cash, plan to make, hire to retire. Certifications in Agile, ITIL, PMP, AWS/Azure, Six Sigma, CISSP or Security+ highly desired. The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

Ideally, You'll Also Have

A proven record of excellence in an IT mergers or acquisitions transaction's role. Experience gained within another large professional services organization. Knowledge of how to leverage AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot. Established networking skills in a relevant industry.

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $205,000 to $235,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
