Position X2458: Extension Agent & County Director, Lake County Program Area: 4-H Youth Development Clientele Served: 4-H Youth Headquarters: Tiptonville , TN Screening of applicants’ credentials will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Date Issued: 09/24/2024 Effective Date: 11/01/2024 SALARY Commensurate with training and experience. This position is funded jointly by UT Extension and Lake County. LakeCounty Government funds 22% of the position salary and benefits costs. Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for management and operations of the county staff, programs, facilities and equipment. Keep abreast of the latest information in 4-H Youth Development to meet the educational needs of the county. Responsible for the County Equal Employment Opportunity Program. Serve as liaison between the Regional Director, county officials and County Agricultural Extension Committee. Be familiar with the county, its situation and its people. Maintain good public relations with staff and audience. Provide leadership for a program of activities that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status. Assume other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences, or a field related to Education and/or Youth Development is required. Master's Degree in Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences, or a field related to Education and/or Youth Development is required.
