For more information, visithttp://www.oakstreethealth.com. The Executive Medical Director will join Oak Street Health at a critical time in the history of our company and of primary care. The opportunity for impact is large and growing, and Oak Street is leading the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care. The Executive Medical Director will be responsible for leading our provider teams in one division which comprises several regional markets. The primary responsibility for the Executive Medical Director is management of and collaboration with local providers and medical directors. The Executive Medical Director is responsible for ensuring we achieve operational/clinical excellence and truly world class performance metrics in hospital admissions, quality/outcome metrics, patient satisfaction, clinician satisfaction, and medical cost. To offer context for the practice and to remain close to our patients, the Executive Medical Director will ideally practice primary care in our clinics 1 day per week alongside provider colleagues. Additionally, we see this leader being a key thought partner in providing feedback on our clinical model. The role may require interstate travel to IL/MO/IA/KS/OK additional Oak Street clinics. The Executive Medical Director will be expected to closely partner and collaborate with the Division President to achieve all organizational outcomes at the division level. Major Responsibilities The Executive Medical Director’s duties are primarily focused on the management of the assigned markets, but, in addition, the Executive Medical Director will have strategic input into a variety of organizational-wide projects, will join committees for clinical programs, and support other initiatives to support the enhancement of the care model, including: Medical Management

Network Management
Health Plan Management
Documentation/Risk Adjustment
Clinical Compliance & Policy Development
Representing Oak Street to external partners (e.g., payers, providers)
Creating relationships and partnerships that support our mission and our economics

Our Executive Medical Director is expected to support this culture and set an example for others to follow. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in outpatient practice.
5+ years of experience in a physician management role or role as medical director
Responsible for developing physician leadership skills in providers throughout the market.
Managing a medical group of 20 or more providers.
Experience in clinical leadership roles, leading and coaching physicians to be the best they can be for their patients and their colleagues.
Experience with managed care and/or value-based practice and familiarity with payer-provider collaboration.
Experience using a metrics-driven approach to analyze cost, quality, and satisfaction data to drive clinical strategy and program redesign.
Developing and implementing new processes.
Hands-on in executingthe CVS/Oak Street vision.
Understand the basics of managed care and recognize that population health and a focus on smart allocation of scarce resources can lead to high value care (better care, lower cost).
Ability to calibrate emotions in stressful situations.
Commitment to our patient population.
Comfort with ambiguity and a love for problem solving.
US work authorization.
Travel up to 20% (if in the region) of the time, based on needs of the business
Preferred Qualifications Fellowship training in Geriatrics and/or other professional degrees (e.g., M.B.A., J.D., M.P.H.)

Education M.D. or D.O. graduates (required) Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (required) The typical base pay range for this role is: $250,000.00 - $350,000.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
