About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Medical Director for Clinical Development in Classical Hematology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall clinical scientific leadership in this area, including the development and execution of clinical trials. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with the Global Program Head to design and implement the optimal development strategy. The ideal candidate will be a clinical role model, demonstrating outstanding clinical scientific knowledge in hematology clinical research, and will be expected to interact with a range of external and internal collaborators, from regulatory authorities to key opinion leaders. A strong commitment to impacting patients through drug development and the ability to work effectively in a team setting are essential.
Applicants for this role at the company should have a proven track record in leadership, with experience in drug development and a strong background in classical hematology. The role requires a minimum of 6-8 years of industry experience in related therapeutic area clinical development, including experience with parenterally administered small molecules and biopharmaceuticals. A medical degree (MD or equivalent) is required, with an MD/PhD strongly preferred. The candidate should have at least 5 years of people management experience and be adept at leading dynamic, multi-disciplinary teams. The position demands a high level of scientific rigor, creativity, and the ability to design innovative clinical strategies. The Executive Medical Director will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of MDs and clinical scientists to meet both personal and business needs.
