The Executive Managing Director Miami Dade is a leadership role in the management and public relations efforts for the Market. This position is responsible for the strategic execution of commercial production/profitability and goals for their designated market. The Executive Managing Director Miami Dade is also responsible for developing business opportunities for all segments, oversee the sales processes, objectives and initiatives, as well as design, develop , monitor and execute programs aimed to drive growth and revenue. They work in close collaboration with other supporting units to overcome challenges that cause bottlenecks in in meeting the organization’s sales targets.


Responsibilities:

  • Solicit new business relationships and cross-sell Bank’s products and services.
  • Expand the Bank’s Commercial Lending presence in Miami-Dade.
  • Actively attract and retain talent for this market, as needed, to achieve the business plan.
  • Drive collaboration by partnering with account executives to support strategic deals and ensure seamless sales and operation.
  • Liaise with the Data Analytics Team to ensure data integrity for all sales teams.
  • Support the sales efforts for regional offices in all geographies.
  • Support the growth of all lines of business.
  • Represents the bank in the community and generates business development activities.
  • Review, monitor and make the final disposition of daily overdraft and uncollected funds reports.
  • Review and monitor delinquency reports and other factors impacting credit transactions to avoid losses for the Bank.
  • Keep abreast of policies and regulatory issues impacting the market and the financial services industry and/or credit standards and propose changes when appropriate.
  • Conduct site visits to financed projects and/or new projects being considered.
  • Assist in assessing and/or recommending opportunities to enhance or improve Bank’s growth.
  • Ensure preventive measures are carried out to fully comply with current rules, regulations and internal policies relating to risks pertaining to BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and other AML related issues
  • Identify, evaluate, monitor and make any recommendation deemed necessary to the Risk Management Committee in order to assess, reduce, eliminate, or control any current or prospective risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of, or nonconformance with, laws, rules regulations, prescribed practices, internal policies and procedures or ethical standards.

Work Experience:

15+ years of experience in a Management and Leadership role

15+ years of experience in a Commercial Lending role, commercial credit underwriting and portfolio management


Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Finance or related field. Formal Credit Training Required

Technical Knowledge:
Strong project management and cross- functional collaboration exposure
Ability to identify the root cause, then simplify into something tangible
Proven experience implementing banking products and/or processes
Exposure to BSA regulatory oversight, and loan documentation
Applied knowledge of commercial loan products, preferably in assigned market
Proven ability to maintain and develop a book of business
Applied knowledge of banking regulations
Proficiency navigating bank core systems
Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Product Suite including: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook

Functional Knowledge:
Must be a team player, be able to work under pressure, conduct business with a professional demeanor, solve problems and conflicts, prioritize work, and manage time and change effectively. Must be an effective communicator verbally and in writing. Develop and deliver engaging presentation and effectively manage meetings and budgets.
