OVERVIEW FuturePAC is the campaign arm of the Oregon House Democratic Caucus, dedicated to electing and defending Democratic candidates across the state. As we gear up for the 2026 election cycle, we are seeking a strategic, experienced, and driven Executive Director to lead our campaign infrastructure, manage a high-performing team, recruit and support diverse candidates, and help us defend and expand our majority in the Oregon House of Representatives. The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of FuturePAC’s work (staffing, candidate support, fundraising, paid media, strategic partnerships, and consultant management) with a focus on defending our members in their reelection bids, winning in competitive districts, and building long-term political power in Oregon. The Executive Director will work directly with the Speaker, Majority Leader, and caucus leadership team. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership & Campaign Planning Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive campaign strategy for the 2026 cycle, including targeting, budgeting, and resource allocation. Work directly with caucus leadership to set strategic goals and guide major decisions throughout the cycle. Develop and execute data-informed voter outreach strategies using VAN and other tools, ensuring efficient and targeted engagement. Manage media consulting relationships and provide strategic oversight to ensure caucus members and candidates are building coordinated, effective mail, digital, and media programs. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner organizations. Staff and Organizational Management Hire, manage, and support FuturePAC’s core team, including campaign services directors (CSDs), coordinated field, and finance staff. Oversee hiring of union-represented campaign staff (Campaign Managers, Field Organizers) in collaboration with CSDs. Build a culture of accountability, equity, and growth, ensuring staff receive appropriate training and support. Must be able to restructure jobs and give constructive feedback as necessary. Candidate Recruitment and Support Drive the recruitment of strong, community-rooted candidates, in collaboration with caucus leadership. Ensure campaigns meet key benchmarks in field, fundraising, and operations through close collaboration with CSDs and campaign staff. Structure and oversee targeted support programs for candidates from underrepresented communities Fundraising and Financial Stewardship Lead FuturePAC’s fundraising program cultivating major donors and institutional partners. Leverage ActBlue and other digital fundraising tools to maximize donor engagement, monitor contribution trends, and support a data-driven fundraising program. Develop a forward-looking strategy for FuturePAC to adapt and thrive in Oregon’s evolving campaign finance environment. Oversee FuturePAC’s budget and financial operations, working closely with compliance consultants to ensure timely and accurate filing of campaign finance disclosures, tax documents, and all required reports. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum two cycles of senior campaign experience, with demonstrated success in managing staff and strategy in competitive races. Deep understanding of campaign planning, voter targeting, paid media, and fundraising. Experience hiring, training, and managing high-performing teams. Strong organizational leadership skills and comfort with complex coalition-building. Proven ability to recruit and support candidates, including navigating sensitive or difficult conversations. Familiarity with Oregon politics, partner organizations, and campaign finance law strongly preferred. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and supporting diverse candidates and communities.
