About the Role

The Company is in search of a strategic and community-centered Executive Director to spearhead a place-based revitalization effort in the South Side neighborhood of Syracuse, New York. This role is pivotal in leading the organization's mission to advance equity, expand opportunity, and drive neighborhood transformation. The successful candidate will be the first hire for the organization, working closely with the founder to turn the vision into actionable strategy. Responsibilities include engaging with the community to understand and prioritize their needs, identifying existing local initiatives, and coordinating with partners to fill any gaps. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in building the internal infrastructure, including hiring and contracting the right people to support the organization's work.

The ideal Executive Director for the company will be a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader with a strong background in community development, collective impact, or systems-building. A key focus of the role is to elevate resident voice, respond to community priorities, and ensure that the organization is built in partnership with the community it serves. The position requires a candidate with a strong equity lens, capable of shaping the organization to reflect the values and needs of the South Side neighborhood.
