About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director (ED) to lead its global scientific society, which is dedicated to the advancement of cytometry technology and its applications in various fields. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with over 10 years' experience in an executive role, preferably within a scientific or international association. The ED will be responsible for the Society's operations, finances, and human resources, and must have a strong background in budget development and management. Key responsibilities include fostering a collaborative organizational culture, leading strategic planning, overseeing communication and outreach efforts, and managing the Society's annual budget. The role also involves working closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to achieve the Society's goals and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should possess a bachelor's degree, with a master's degree in business or a related field preferred. A scientific degree is a plus, and a CAE credential is also desirable. The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and oral communication skills, a strategic and innovative approach to resource management, and a passion for the mission of the Society. Personal qualities such as being dependable, emotionally intelligent, and collaborative are essential. The ED will be expected to travel as needed and work a flexible schedule to participate in various events and meetings. Experience in leadership development, fundraising, and a commitment to the long-term success of the field of analytical cytometry are also key requirements for this role.
