About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of empowering vulnerable children and youth in foster care. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic goals, working closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization's mission and financial objectives are met. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations, including administration, program accountability, volunteer management, fiscal management, fundraising, and public relations. The Executive Director will be the guiding voice for the community's most at-risk children, ensuring compliance with national and local standards, and maintaining strong relationships with community groups and partner agencies.
Ideal candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years' of leadership and management experience. The role requires an innovative, forward-thinking leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, a deep commitment to the organization's mission, and the ability to think strategically and generate new ideas. The Executive Director will be expected to have a high level of professionalism, integrity, and the capacity to manage a crisis with a calm and respectful approach. Strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners, and a good knowledge of technology systems are essential. Preference will be given to candidates with an advanced academic degree, non-profit leadership experience, and a background in child protection, education administration, legal, child welfare, youth-oriented, or social service organizations.
