This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Executive Director leads all aspects of branch programs and services, ensuring our cause and culture is instilled in our strategy and staff development. Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent Three or more years successfully leading people &/or operations, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development Successful community engagement experience, including development of volunteers Successful fundraising experience YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred Complete within 30 days of hire: YMCA cause & culture training; membership-specific training; BLS CPR; First Aid; (provided by YMCA) Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and successful clearance of background check Follow youth boundaries policies and abuse risk management training Report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and adhere to mandated abuse reporting and responsibilities Complete all required abuse prevention training prior to first shift Screen, train, and enforce abuse prevention policies for staff Promote a reporting culture, address violations, and maintain confidentiality Ensure compliance with mandated reporting and communicate zero tolerance to all staff
