Executive Director – Camber Children’s Mental Health

Location: Wichita, KS

Camber Children’s Mental Health is hiring a visionary Executive Director to lead our acute psychiatric treatment programs for children and teens in Wichita, KS. In this senior leadership role, you’ll oversee daily operations, guide cross-functional teams, ensure compliance, and foster an inclusive, trauma-informed care environment that transforms lives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the strategic and operational performance of residential and hospital-based programs
  • Manage cross-disciplinary teams and department leaders to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
  • Maintain licensure, accreditation, and regulatory compliance (TJC, COA, CMS, etc.)
  • Champion a safe, inclusive, and culturally relevant environment for both clients and staff
  • Partner with internal teams and community stakeholders to enhance services and expand reach
  • Oversee fiscal performance, business development, and contract management
  • Mentor, develop, and retain high-performing leadership across all service areas
  • Serve as a bridge between Camber and the broader KVC Health Systems network

What We’re Looking For:

Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Healthcare Admin, Public Health, or clinical field required (MBA, MHA, or advanced clinical licensure preferred)

Experience: 7+ years in healthcare leadership, including 3+ in a senior management role (Behavioral health or acute psychiatric experience strongly preferred)

Skills: Strong knowledge of compliance, accreditation, financial management, and team leadership

Other: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, valid driver’s license and auto insurance required
