About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Value Chain Management within its Global Supply Chain. This pivotal role is focused on providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the design, execution, and continuous improvement of product value chains across the global product portfolio. The successful candidate will be a key architect of the company's end-to-end supply network, optimizing lifecycle performance, cost structure, and inventory efficiency to ensure agile and reliable delivery of both clinical and commercial supply. Responsibilities include defining and leading the global product value chain strategy, championing cost transparency, and product-level cost modeling, and driving global inventory strategies that align with product segmentation and risk profiles. The role also involves leading operational readiness for new product launches, driving alignment of demand, supply, and production master data, and leading value chain integration activities for newly acquired entities.
Candidates for this role at the company should have an advanced degree in a relevant field, with a strong preference for APICS, Six Sigma, or Lean certification. A minimum of 15 years' experience in a global pharmaceutical supply chain, with a focus on value chain strategy, inventory optimization, and cost management, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product lifecycle management, product launches, and cost/value optimization initiatives, and at least 10 years' experience in GMP/GCP-compliant environments. Key skills and competencies include a strategic mindset, expertise in cost modeling, working capital management, and inventory segmentation, strong financial acumen, and the ability to influence at all levels. The role demands an individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to navigate complexity, and a proficiency in digital planning and analytics tools.
