About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Strategy in Cell Therapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of therapeutic area strategy for cell therapy within the immunology pipeline. This role requires a strategic mindset, analytical rigor, and strong people leadership to address high-impact and complex strategic topics. The Executive Director will be at the center of the R&D strategy, driving the focus of the cell therapy portfolio, and will be accountable for end-to-end cell therapy strategy, including the identification of current and future unmet needs, strategic vision, integrated clinical strategy, and competitive portfolio initiatives. The role also involves leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing strategic counsel to senior leaders, and operating in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed work environment.
Candidates for this position should have a BA/BS with 10 years, MS/MBA with 8 years, or PhD/MD with 5 years of combined experience in life sciences or a consulting firm with a focus on life science programs. Basic qualifications include the ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior executive teams, demonstrated leadership and influence skills, and the ability to think critically and creatively. Preferred qualifications include strong analytical and communication skills, effective interpersonal and relationship management, operational effectiveness, and a background in financial activities and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, motivated, and proactive, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems and experience in competitive intelligence work in life sciences.
