Job Title Position : Executive Director, Strategic Planning Location : Office of Strategy, Data and Accountability Salary : $134,598 - $188,672 Reports to : Assistant Superintendent, Strategy, Data and Accountability Benefits Eligibility : Yes Telecommuting Eligibility : Hybrid. Eligible for up to 20% telecommuting in accordance with District policies and guidelines. Position Summary The Executive Director, Strategic Planning & Performance acts as the District's internal lead for the strategic planning cycle, overseeing the initiative portfolio and monitoring of District-level objectives and key results (OKRs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). The Executive Director drives continuous ¿ improvement processes that align academic, operational, and financial goals with the Strategic Plan and acts as an internal engine to move critical work forward. The Executive Director liaises among the Office of the Superintendent and internal departments to ensure initiatives, process and administrative guidelines are on track and up to date. The Executive Director also provides strategic support to the Office of the Superintendent to ensure high priority activities are attended to and managed effectively. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree in Public Administration, Education, Business, or related field preferred. 7+ years leading large scale strategic planning or management functions in K 12, higher ed, government, or complex nonprofits. Demonstrated success building data dashboards and leading data monitoring efforts Skilled facilitator able to translate data into compelling narratives for diverse audiences. Essential Functions Facilitate multiyear strategic plan refreshes and annual goal setting.Maintain portfolio of strategic initiatives, tracking milestones, risks, and interdependencies.Lead the design and management of performance dashboards to monitor KPIs and OKRs.Coordinate with Cabinet leaders and division leads to ensure strategic initiatives are on track and problem solve when work is not.Provide direct support to the Superintendent for the creation of strategic communications, plans, internal and external storytelling materials, and key planning documents.Lead after action reviews and continuous improvement cycles (Plan Do Study Act) for key initiatives and projects.Coordinate with the Office of Human Resources and the Office of Finance to plan for alignment of resource allocations to strategic priorities.Partner with Data & Accountability to design, update and improve the tracking of common metrics, ensure data integrity, and regular robust reporting for strategic priorities.Drive the creation of materials for key change management initiativesManage the district's strategic ¿ planning toolkit, templates, and training for department leads.Supervise staff as required, conduct annual performance reviews and manage budgets as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.
