Job Summary The Executive Director leads through vision and values, overseeing all daily operations of the community. Responsibilities include team relations, resident and family services, resident well-being, activities, quality assurance, financial management, regulatory compliance, and overall community operations.

Position Overview
Manage community operations with high business acumen, understanding all departments.
Recruit, train, and supervise department managers; oversee hiring, discipline, performance, and inter-departmental relationships.
Communicate clearly, be approachable, fair-minded, and confident.
Maintain composure during stressful situations.
Support department heads to ensure efficient operations aligned with MorningStar standards.
Lead with a servant-leadership approach, sharing power and prioritizing team development.
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Director to promote a sales culture.
Prepare and submit required reports.
Represent the community with government agencies and private organizations.
Perform daily community walk-throughs to ensure standards and engagement.
Ensure community grounds and facilities are always 'ready for visitors.'
Participate actively in meal service and resident engagement, especially during peak times.
Ensure compliance with policies related to resident care, HR, finances, and safety.
Assist with inspections and surveys, addressing deficiencies promptly.
Evaluate staff performance and support their development.
Maintain confidentiality and dignity in resident information sharing.
Manage supplies and equipment properly.
Participate in committees and oversee community outreach and volunteer programs.
Ensure departmental meetings and safety protocols are regularly held.
Qualifications

Experience: 3+ years as an Executive Director or in a related senior living role
Skills: Financial management, human resources, building maintenance, sales, clinical compliance, culinary standards, relationship management
Leadership: Demonstrates servant leadership, approachability, fairness, and effective communication
Passion for senior care and team engagement
Education: College degree preferred; work experience may suffice
Continuing education and licensure as required by state
Expertise in dementia care, senior safety, and community leadership
Technology skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MorningStar applications
Time management: Capable of handling multiple priorities, flexible hours, and on-call duties
