About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its organ procurement organization (OPO). The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction, leadership, and administration of the OPO, ensuring compliance with the hospital governing board's policies and the strategic plan. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations, including administrative, financial, hospital services, public relations, community education, professional education, quality assessment, performance improvement, and clinical operations. The Executive Director will also be tasked with maintaining key stakeholder relationships, representing the OPO at various levels, and working closely with the advisory board, medical director, and management team to maximize organ donation.

Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company's OPO should have a Master's degree in a healthcare or business-related discipline, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' professional experience in an OPO, including 3 years in OPO management. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in OPO operations, including administration, growth and development, clinical ops, professional and community education, quality, and public relations, as well as knowledge of state and federal OPO regulations. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking, and communicating complex concepts, and have prior experience with a Board of Directors or Advisory Board. Experience as an OPO executive director, CEO, or COO is also preferred.
