About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director, Oncology Early Clinical Development Lead with a focus on GU/Prostate. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of leading early-phase oncology clinical development and shaping the translational strategy for innovative GU/Prostate therapies. This role is pivotal in driving the successful translation of therapies from preclinical research to clinical development, with a strong emphasis on first-in-human, dose-escalation, and proof-of-concept studies. The Executive Director will be responsible for developing and executing clinical development plans, ensuring alignment with target medicine profiles, and leading clinical strategy discussions at regulatory interactions. Collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to optimize translational research strategies and advance the oncology portfolio is a key aspect of the position.
Applicants must have a medical degree with oncology board certification, clinical and research experience in GYN or Prostate cancer, and a strong background in early-phase clinical trials and translational research. The role requires experience in designing and executing early-phase clinical studies, including FTIH and POC trials, as well as a deep understanding of oncology treatment guidelines, the therapeutic competitive landscape, and the clinical development and drug approval processes in major regions. The ideal candidate will also have experience in developing and driving translational strategies, global regulatory experience, and a proven track record of managing direct reports and leading matrix teams. A Ph.D. in addition to the medical degree is preferred. The Executive Director will lead a team of Medical Directors and Clinical Scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring the successful execution of clinical development and translational strategies.
