About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Human Resources to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a strategic partner to senior leaders, providing expert advice and coaching on a wide range of employee-related issues to enhance organizational effectiveness. This role involves overseeing staffing and retention, organizational development, talent management, and employee relations. The Executive Director will also be responsible for proactively addressing labor and employee relations issues, as well as leading a team of Regional HR Directors. A key focus is on building organizational bench strength through the strategic recruitment and development of high-potential talent.
Candidates for the Executive Director of Human Resources position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' HR experience, with a preference for those who have worked in a high-volume environment. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. The role demands outstanding leadership, communication, and influencing skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in employee relations, including investigations and grievance resolution, is essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have a strong business acumen. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and experience in a union work environment is a plus. The role is remote/hybrid with frequent travel and may require extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
