About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Development Leadership and Strategies to serve as a senior leader in advancing its philanthropic goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and achieving multi-year fundraising targets, with a focus on cultivating significant gifts. This role involves working closely with the Vice President of Advancement and College Relations, academic leaders, and key stakeholders to design and implement data-informed strategies for various giving levels. The Executive Director will also manage multiple teams, including Major Gifts, Gift Planning, Annual Fund, Prospect Research, and Stewardship, ensuring operational excellence and high-quality stewardship across all areas of development.
Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years in development, including at least 5 years in executive or senior leadership roles. The role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in fundraising, donor engagement, and team management. Essential qualifications include the ability to translate institutional priorities into philanthropic opportunities, a strong background in major and planned giving, and experience in campaign planning. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven leader, capable of fostering a culture of accountability and inclusivity, and will have a successful history of cultivating and stewarding major donors. A Master's degree and additional experience in complex gift planning and corporate relations are preferred.
