About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Medical Capabilities to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and alignment of the Global Medical Affairs Capabilities Plan with strategic goals and objectives. This role involves close collaboration with regional medical heads to develop and coordinate the implementation of medical capabilities strategic initiatives, ensuring the excellence of medical resources, training, and other materials. The Executive Director will also be accountable for the development of field medical content for external use, internal training materials, and the management of publications and medical information teams. A strong commitment to ethical, regulatory, and scientific standards is essential, as is the ability to drive the strategic development and execution of all activities within the medical capabilities function.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should have at least 10 years' of medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on medical content development, field medical content/resource development, medical information, and/or publications. A science or medical degree is required, with an advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) preferred. Experience in oncology, particularly immuno-oncology, or immunology is highly desirable. The role demands excellent presentation and communication skills, a results-oriented and deadline-focused approach, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work autonomously, and thrive on challenges, with a proven track record of anticipating and overcoming obstacles to achieve success.
