The person selected for this role will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, and execution of integrated marketing and communications programs supporting City of Hope National Medical Center in Los Angeles. The position reports to the System Chief Marketing Officer and partners with the Los Angeles Executive Leadership Team to drive growth, patient engagement, and brand awareness. This role oversees external communications, public affairs, brand management, advertising, events, visitor services, and crisis communications in partnership with the System Chief Communications Officer. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic marketing and communications plans to enhance City of Hope Los Angeles' growth and brand recognition. Design and execute data-driven marketing campaigns to increase patient engagement and referrals. Manage brand assets to raise awareness among patients, physicians, and the community. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including physicians, partners, and leadership. Oversee external communications, including speeches, media outreach, and public relations strategies. Drive media recognition for clinical programs to support growth in patient volume. Serve as a spokesperson when needed. Develop crisis communication plans in collaboration with internal teams. Engage with healthcare stakeholders and media outlets to strengthen relationships. Ensure all marketing aligns with City of Hope's brand strategy and standards. Maintain brand consistency across all communications and digital platforms. Manage the Los Angeles website and digital marketing initiatives, including SEO and social media. Lead, mentor, and inspire the marketing and communications team. Foster a collaborative, results-oriented environment aligned with institutional goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, communications, or government relations, with at least five years in healthcare, preferably in an academic medical center. Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and working with senior executives. Deep experience in healthcare marketing and communications is preferred.
