About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Institutional Review Committee. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and organization of all IRC meetings, ensuring that the institutional review process adheres to relevant policies and procedures, and managing all communications related to the accreditation and recognition of sponsoring institutions. This role involves providing guidance to institutional leaders, interpreting institutional requirements, and acting as a liaison to agencies and organizations in the field of graduate medical education. The Executive Director will also be involved in the professional development of designated institutional officials and will collaborate with various departments to improve accreditation and recognition processes.

Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an earned terminal degree, and at least 3 years' of director-level experience in GME, accreditation, or related areas. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in leading teams and change management. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to interact with professionals at all levels, knowledge of higher education programs and their accreditation, and strong communication skills. Supervisory responsibilities include directing and evaluating staff, and the role may involve travel to the ACGME Annual Educational Conference and other events.
