About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Information Security to lead the establishment and execution of strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security program directives and plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of information security policies, standards, and guidelines, as well as overseeing district-wide information security training efforts. This role requires a leader who can identify, evaluate, and mitigate information security risks in compliance with regulatory requirements and the company's risk posture. The Executive Director will also be accountable for leading the information security and operations teams, providing guidance on security topics, and ensuring that security is integrated into the design and implementation of new systems.

Candidates for this position at The Company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a professional security management certification such as CISSP. A minimum of 7 years' experience in the IT field, including at least 5 years in an information security role, is required, along with a strong background in managing security initiatives in a large enterprise environment. The role demands a high level of integrity, initiative, and the ability to handle confidential matters with maturity. Knowledge of security management frameworks and legal and regulatory standards, particularly those relevant to the education sector, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing security programs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
