About the Role
The Company is in search of a Global Clinical Head for Rheumatology Cell Therapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the clinical development of cell and gene therapy programs in rheumatology across multiple geographies, from Phase 1 to Phase 2/3 with a focus on registrational intent. This role requires a leader who can influence the overall strategy in the rheumatology space, particularly in the adoption of new platforms for cell and gene therapy. The Global Clinical Head will also have direct management responsibilities for a team of physicians and clinical scientists, and will be expected to represent the clinical development function at a global level, as well as in various strategic committees.
Candidates for this position must have a medical degree, a professional qualification in rheumatology, and at least 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector, or significantly longer experience in the academic or non-profit setting. A PhD in immunology, rheumatology, or cell and gene therapy is desirable. The role demands a deep understanding of the drug development and commercialization process, as well as the ability to set and manage priorities, resources, and performance targets in a global environment. Strategic thinking, the ability to influence and persuade, and a strong focus on scientific and patient outcomes are essential. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a team-oriented approach.
