About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission in the Raleigh/Durham, NC market. The successful candidate will be a key player in the organization's efforts to reduce cardiovascular disease and promote a culture of health. This role involves supervising and mentoring a team to achieve a significant market revenue goal, creating and nurturing revenue pipelines, and recruiting leadership volunteers for core events. The Executive Director will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to meet health impact goals, as well as serving as the staff lead for the Board of Directors and committees. A strong background in corporate sales, non-profit fundraising, and executive volunteer management is essential, with a preference for experience in community or public health issues.
Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 5 years' in corporate sales or relevant non-profit fundraising, and a similar period of managerial experience. The role requires the ability to build powerful partnerships, strong leadership skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will be adept at tracking and recording sales and fundraising goals, and ensuring that the team meets or exceeds targets. A key aspect of the role is the ability to work with corporate leaders and senior-level volunteers to achieve bold goals, and a willingness to work outside standard hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, is necessary. Daily travel within the market and occasional travel to other locations is also a requirement.
