About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Sustainable Delivery Policy within the Department of Transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading enforcement efforts against illegal micromobility activities, holding delivery apps accountable for safety standards, and addressing vehicle parking behaviors that pose risks to pedestrians and cyclists. This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership, program staff, and external stakeholders to create and manage strategies related to micromobility safety and enforcement.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include initiating and supervising research and policy development, advising on rules and regulations for safe delivery practices, and supervising the implementation of complex, multi-stakeholder projects. The role also requires the ability to represent the department in external meetings, maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and design educational campaigns on micromobility safety. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's or Ph.D. being a substitute for experience, and at least 10 years of relevant experience. Preferred skills include the ability to anticipate challenges, strong organizational and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities and interests.
