About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for External Engagement Strategy and Insights in the field of Oncology R&D. This pivotal role involves driving the strategic direction for external engagements, leading cross-functional teams, and fostering collaboration to address the unmet needs in cancer research. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating external clinical and scientific insights to shape portfolio decisions, as well as leading critical initiatives that push the boundaries of cancer research. The role requires a visionary strategist with a PhD or MD and at least 5 years of experience in life sciences and consulting, particularly in the areas of pharmaceutical R&D, business, strategy, and academic partnerships.

Key accountabilities for the Executive Director include leading a team that is at the center of Oncology R&D, driving the integration of insights, and advising senior leadership on complex strategic areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceptional leadership, the ability to think critically and creatively, and the capacity to influence partners across matrixed organizations. Essential skills include the ability to interact effectively with senior executive teams, lead and coach experienced professionals, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. The role demands a highly collaborative individual with strong analytical and communication skills, who is comfortable engaging in conversations with senior leadership and is resourceful, motivated, and proactive in driving progress in a fast-growing organization.
