We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Executive Director, Epic Ambulatory to spearhead strategic and operational initiatives across our Ambulatory and Outpatient Services. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for program management, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring successful delivery across various Epic modules and clinical areas. You'll play a crucial part in shaping our Epic roadmap and enhancing the experience for both providers and patients. What You'll Do: Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage the Epic roadmap for our Ambulatory, Outpatient, and associated modules, guiding strategic direction and implementation. Collaborative Partnership: Directly collaborate with clinical and operational leaders , including VPs, physicians, and non-physician stakeholders across a diverse range of areas like rehab, therapy, infusion clinics, primary care, and specialty clinics. Customer-Centric Solutions: Serve as a strategic partner to our customers, proactively identifying their needs, consulting on innovative solutions, and transforming requirements into actionable project work. Program Oversight: Oversee comprehensive program and project planning, budgeting, and implementation efforts, utilizing tools like Smartsheet, ServiceNow (including its upcoming PM module), and SharePoint. Team Empowerment: Provide strong leadership and mentorship within our flat organizational structure, helping to prioritize work, build team capacity, and cultivate a culture of service excellence. Operational Management: Manage the intake of business requests, Epic upgrades, and proactive initiatives that directly support clinical operations. High-Level Representation & Tactical Execution: Represent the Epic team in high-level planning discussions while also engaging at a tactical level to ensure execution consistently aligns with our organizational goals. Talent Development: Participate actively in interviewing and hiring processes, contributing to team expansion and robust succession planning. What You'll Bring: Extensive Experience: Over 10 years of experience in healthcare IT or clinical operations, ideally gained within complex health systems. Epic EMR Mastery: Demonstrated expertise with Epic EMR, backed by an Epic certification or the ability to pass a Sphinx assessment. Workflow Acumen: Strong knowledge of ambulatory and outpatient clinical workflows. Leadership & Strategy: Proven experience in stakeholder management, road mapping, budgeting, and strategic planning. Balanced Approach: A demonstrated ability to effectively balance high-level program oversight with meticulous detailed execution and problem-solving. Exceptional Communication: Excellent directional skills with heightened attention to detail when working with both internal and external customers. Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or another related field. Bonus Points For: Familiarity with Smartsheets, ServiceNow, and SharePoint. Epic Ambulatory certification. PMP certification.
