Overview

As the Executive Director, Investment, you will serve as a strategic right-hand partner to the Client Investment Lead and act as the key cross-channel Investment lead, with broader exposure and responsibilities to the client portfolio of accounts. You'll be responsible for reacting to changes in the business, rallying and managing the full performance and investment teams, and serving as a trusted client partner across all facets of performance marketing.

You'll bring a deep understanding of the digital media landscape and a sharp ability to connect performance marketing to brand-building. Just as important, you'll possess the organizational and leadership skills to drive cross-functional collaboration, manage high-impact initiatives, and contribute to the development of a future-forward media team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Media Investment Strategy & Optimization
Lead full-funnel media investment across search, social, programmatic, and emerging platforms, ensuring optimal channel mix, investment allocation, and performance tracking. Develop robust paid media strategies that align with business objectives, driving measurable results across sales and brand metrics. Manage a multi-million-dollar budget, make real-time investment decisions, and respond dynamically to market conditions and performance insights. Partner closely with creative and brand leads to ensure integrated, platform-aligned messaging.

Innovation & Platform Partnerships
Manage and grow strategic relationships with key platforms, including Google, Meta, TikTok, Amazon, and others. Leverage betas, test new formats, and pilot advanced targeting approaches to position the client at the forefront of performance media innovation.

Strategic Workstream Leadership
Oversee core business initiatives critical to the broader media and marketing operation. Lead savings realization efforts, track Joint Business Partnership (JBP) commitments and outcomes, and oversee the execution of key roadmaps. Ensure each initiative is fully tracked from planning to activation, and insights are codified and shared.

Test-and-Learn Framework Ownership
Establish and embed a test-and-learn culture within the media team. Build the operational cadence and rigor for experimentation, ensuring all tests have clear objectives and results are actionable and well-communicated.

Strategic Connectivity Across Performance and Brand
Bridge performance and brand efforts to build a seamless media ecosystem. Link lower-funnel tactics with upper-funnel strategies, and support portfolio-wide investment planning using insights from past campaigns to guide future decisions.

Team Development and Leadership
Mentor junior team members and foster a high-performing, future-forward team culture. Lead capability-building and growth opportunities across functions, modeling a collaborative and accountable leadership style.

Cross-Functional Influence & Stakeholder Alignment
Partner with senior stakeholders in marketing, strategy, finance, analytics, and creative to drive alignment and integration. Serve as a senior point of contact internally and externally, and help lead internal planning and communications as second-in-command to the VP.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Compensation Range

$150,000-$225,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
