About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Director of Development to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic planning for major, principal, and transformational giving. This role involves working closely with the President on campaign planning, organizational design, and budget planning, as well as establishing measurable goals to increase fundraising results. The Senior Director will also be involved in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major and planned gift prospects, and will oversee the development team in securing gifts from individuals and organizations.

Candidates for the Senior Director of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Graduate degree preferred) and at least 5 years' experience in fundraising, with a focus on major donor portfolio management and the cultivation of gifts. Experience in a healthcare or academic medical center setting is highly valued. The role requires a proven track record in closing major gifts, experience in campaign planning, and the ability to work with senior leadership to achieve fundraising goals. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, maintain strict confidentiality, and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism. Certification such as CFRE is preferred, and experience in building a grateful patient program is essential.
