About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its dynamic and mission-driven team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fundraising, maintaining and building relationships with network partners, and ensuring the organization's fiscal and organizational compliance. This role requires a people-centered relationship builder with a passion for environmental conservation and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Executive Director will serve as the leading voice for the organization, raising its visibility and credibility, and will be a strategic campaign facilitator, working with the program team to advance priority campaigns.

Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have at least 10-12 years' experience in non-profit, advocacy, or public policy, with a proven track record in staff management, budget management, and fundraising. The ideal candidate will be an intersectional environmentalist, a behind-the-scenes leader, and a pragmatic, optimistic change-maker. They must be comfortable with conflict, and experienced in coalition coordination, and have a strong network of relationships with policymakers. The role demands a strategic campaigner who can bring together a diverse set of individuals and is committed to the goals of the organization. A background in environmental issues such as clean water, climate change, and social justice is essential, as is a commitment to the values of the organization.
