About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director of Clinical Operations to lead and build a team of professionals dedicated to the oversight and execution of all sponsored clinical trials within the development pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving pre-clinical studies into Phase I and through clinical development, ensuring that clinical stage programs meet their objectives within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in clinical operations, including the ability to expand in-house capabilities, provide technical guidance, and manage external vendors. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in fostering a collaborative culture, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of 15 years of combined pharmaceutical and biotech experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. A background in oncology or neuroscience, or multi-therapeutic clinical operations, is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing clinical trials from pre-clinical to registration, experience with INDs and NDAs, and a strong ability to build and manage relationships with external partners. The role demands an individual with excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, who is adept at working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. A Bachelor's degree in life sciences or pharmacy is required, with an advanced degree being preferred.
