The Health District of Northern Larimer County seeks an Executive Director/CEO to lead a mission-driven organization providing dental care, behavioral health services, and health coverage assistance to residents throughout northern Larimer County. Located in scenic Fort Collins, Colorado—consistently ranked among the best places to live—the Health District offers a collaborative, community-focused environment dedicated to improving health equity and access for all.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, visionary, and compassionate leader who builds strong connections with staff and community partners, fosters innovation, and provides clear and consistent direction. They will create a shared vision for the District and help employees understand their role in achieving it. Strong organizational, financial, and project management skills are essential, along with experience implementing strategic plans and working with a governing board.

Responsibilities

• Lead a mission-driven organization providing dental care, behavioral health services, and health coverage assistance to residents in northern Larimer County.
• Foster a collaborative, community-focused environment and strengthen connections with staff and community partners.
• Develop and communicate a shared vision for the District; align staff efforts with strategic goals.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight across organizational operations, including implementation of the strategic plan and governance with a board.

Qualifications

• Strategic, visionary, and compassionate leadership with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Strong organizational, financial, and project management skills.
• Experience implementing strategic plans and working with a governing board.
