About the Role

The Company is in search of a visionary Executive Director to lead its statewide trade association, which is dedicated to advancing the business interests of consulting engineering firms. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, staff, and strategic initiatives in alignment with the organization's mission and values. Key duties include legislative advocacy, leadership development, member recruitment and retention, stakeholder engagement, financial oversight, and program execution. The role also involves a strong partnership with the Engineering Education Foundation of America to support joint efforts in scholarships, STEM outreach, and workforce development.

Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have a proven track record in nonprofit professional or association management. Essential qualifications include excellent people skills, experience in government affairs or legislative advocacy, and proficiency in financial management. The ideal candidate will have existing relationships with government leaders, legislators, and the business community, as well as a strong understanding of nonprofit governance. A Master’s degree and experience in organizing large-scale industry events are preferred. The role requires a commitment to the organization's mission, regular travel, and a presence at key events. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to implement the strategic plan and ensure the organization's continued success.
