As a Card Risk Governance and Business Management Executive Director within the Card Risk organization, you will spearhead change management and governance initiatives while supporting leadership requirements and overseeing daily operations. Reporting to the Card Risk Chief Operating Officer, you will manage governance frameworks and committee materials, ensure compliance with control frameworks, lead interactions with internal audit and regulatory bodies, and uphold comprehensive policies, procedures, standards, and risk decision criteria documents. Additionally, you will assist the Card Chief Risk Officer Leadership Team in formulating strategic priorities and maintaining the Card Risk Book of Work. Success in this role requires a blend of leadership, influence, and matrix management skills across various functions, lines of business, and senior leaders both within and outside of the Risk sector. Job Responsibilities Establish strategic priorities for the the Card Risk change management governance process including process and change documentation, automation, escalation criteria, monitoring adherence, Risk and other Management Committee engagement and impact quantification.
Lead data collection efforts and develop insights for executive and regulatory presentations, ensuring impactful communication.
Oversee the Card Risk Committee forum process and manage regulatory and audit engagements, ensuring compliance and effective governance
Design and maintain communication routines across Card Risk to prioritize initiatives, resolve roadblocks, facilitate information sharing, and celebrate achievements.
Manage the Card Risk headcount and expense budget, collaborating across Finance, CCB Risk and the Card Risk leadership team to identify and mitigate risks
Lead a team of Risk management professionals, establishing clear roles and responsibilities to meet business priorities and deadlines
Manage special projects to complete critical work for Card Risk function
Manage confidential information in a professional manner
Ensure all periodic reporting and functional review processes are executed, maintaining accountability and completion of action items.
Build and maintain relationships with peers inside and outside the organization and ensure strong collaboration across teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
10+ years of corporate experience
Must have prior business management experience, including experience turning data into executable insights and business plans
Demonstrated excellent analytical, problem resolution and decision-making skills
Superior judgment, team building, budgeting and presentation skills
Flexibility and proven ability to establish and meet deadlines
Strong oral and written communication skills
Adaptability to deal with ambiguity associated with working in a fast paced and changing environment
Ability to deal with conflict and multiple constituencies and manage multiple simultaneous objectives is imperative
Prior experience driving alignment across multiple business units/leads toward a common goal is preferred
