About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its nonprofit animal rescue and welfare organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day operations, ensuring the effective execution of the organization's mission, and managing financial objectives. This leadership role requires a passion for animal welfare, previous experience in animal rescue, and a strong background in nonprofit management. The Executive Director will oversee a small staff, a large volunteer base, and will be the public face of the organization, engaging in fundraising, community outreach, and crisis management as necessary.
Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include providing vision and leadership, participating in board meetings, and fostering a culture of respect and trust. The role also involves managing the organization's programs, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, donor management, and financial planning, as well as experience in human resources and a desire to learn and grow as part of a team. Basic proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite is required, and a licensed driver with an insured vehicle is a must. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, DEIA work, and experience in crisis management, event coordination, and marketing strategy.
