About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director and CEO to spearhead its mission of public and professional education and engagement in the field of infectious diseases. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the Board of Directors to refine and implement the strategic plan, leading the development of strategic partnerships and programs, and serving as the primary representative of the organization at various events and media opportunities. This role also involves guiding the development of evidence-based education and outreach initiatives, overseeing a range of professional and public health awareness activities, and engaging with key stakeholders, including government agencies, healthcare associations, academic institutions, and the media.

Applicants for the Executive Director and CEO position at the company should be proven leaders with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior-level role within a U.S. nonprofit medical or health-related organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundraising, partnership development, and a network of contacts in the infectious diseases community. A general understanding of the goals of infectious disease prevention and treatment from a public health or medical/scientific perspective is preferred. The role requires exceptional communication skills, experience in budget management, and a Bachelor's degree or higher. Experience working with government agencies such as NIH, CDC, FDA, and/or HHS is also a plus. The Executive Director and CEO will be expected to ensure the organization's compliance with laws and regulations, manage the annual operating budget, and diversify revenue through various channels.
