About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Academic Technologies, Innovation, and Research Computing. This strategic leadership role is pivotal in supporting the Institute's research, teaching, and innovation goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and executing technical strategies that align with the Institute's mission, as well as for the long-range vision and implementation of research, digital learning, and enterprise innovation programs. The role involves enhancing the Institute's brand reputation, particularly in the academic, government, and private sectors, and acting as a trusted liaison between enterprise information technology and the research and academic communities. The Executive Director will also be tasked with identifying opportunities for technical integration, staying current with technological advancements, and ensuring that the technology teams are effectively managed.
Applicants for this position at The Company should have a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Ph.D., and at least 10 years of job-related experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research cyber infrastructure, experience in managing large, complex research projects, and a proven track record of leadership in the areas of technology, innovation, and academic collaboration. Essential skills include excellent communication, facilitation, and collaboration, as well as a strong commitment to team leadership and organizational development.
