Join our Environmental Service Assistance Team to protect human health and the environment in a collaborative, dynamic setting in Chelmsford, MA.

Our skilled scientists collaborate with EPA staff at their state-of-the-art Laboratory Services and Applied Science Division (LSASD) in Chelmsford, MA. Here, you will be part of the team helping EPA achieve its mission to protect human health and the environment.
Serco also supports the EPA in other locations across the country, including Edison, NJ, Chicago, IL, and Ft. Meade, MD. Please inform your recruiter of your preferred locations while working at the other LSASD sites.

In this role, you will: Manage daily laboratory and field operations
Supervise scientists using EPA methods
Ensure quality control and technical integrity
Develop and evaluate staff training programs
Maintain customer relations and financial accountability
Monitor workflow, inventory, and performance metrics
Deliver technical and financial reports
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will have:
BS/BA in Chemistry or a related field from an accredited university
10+ years of experience in environmental labs or EPA methods (advanced degrees may offset experience)
5+ years managing teams of 10+ in analytical settings related to the job description
P&L experience and strong data analysis skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
US Citizenship
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain EPA Public Trust Certificate
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
On-site work at the Chelmsford, MA Laboratory Monday through Friday; no hybrid schedule available
Additional desired experience and skills: 10 years of experience as an environmental chemist
Managing federal contracts experience
Environmental training, such as 40 or 24 Hour HAZWOPER certification

Salary range: $95,604.60 to $191,209.20, based on experience and qualifications.
