The E-Commerce Director will be responsible for defining and executing the online strategy for North America including the E-Commerce P&L for the brands .com US and CA and E-Partner sites. This person will be responsible for driving sales, conversion, and lifetime value leveraging merchandising, marketing and site functionality to the highest degree.
Reporting to the North America CEO, this role will work strategically alongside the Global Head of Digital as well as local cross-functional partners in Marketing, Retail, Finance, Customer Service etc.
This position will be responsible for key performance indicators and will provide actionable insights for improvements to meet sales targets and lead new business initiatives.
Responsibilities
Operations
Define and manage N.A. E-Commerce budget and P&L including sales, margin, and marketing spend
Responsible for analyzing performance data and sharing weekly, monthly and quarterly recaps with actionable insights for executive management teams
Power user of Google Analytics to identify actionable business opportunities
Oversee US/CA fulfillment with Paris based counterpart, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) & KPIs are being achieved.
Manage OMS strategy and SLAs (ship from store, return in-store) with Paris project manager for development and North America retail team for day to day.
Execute all forecasting for budget, fulfillment and customer service needs
Define and lead the North America project roadmap in partnership with HQ. Make recommendations for best practices to be implemented for North America to drive conversion and engagement such as: checkout, payment methods, payment processing, and third party service integrations
Develop and present regular competitive analysis and audits of best E-Commerce standards and convert analysis into insights and new ideas for the digital business
Marketing
Manage the paid market strategy and budget across all channels including but not limited to: Meta, Google and Affiliate
Oversee the paid marketing budget and work with paid agency to ensure strategic spending across the funnel and across channels
Working with marketing manager to brief in all creative and sign off on all creative assets, budget and strategy before go-live
Oversee SEO initiatives in partnership with the Paris-based agency, ensuring brand consistency, and organic growth across local markets.
Oversee newsletters and SMS marketing calendar with North America digital manager.
CRM
Partner with CRM manager to analyze CRM performance metrics and customer data to drive engagement, retention, and revenue growth
Analyze CRM data to uncover insights on shopper behavior, drive customer lifetime value, and optimize omni-channel marketing strategies
Oversee the implementation, optimization, and integration of CRM systems and new features
Develop and manage campaigns that leverage CRM data for targeted messaging, automation, and customer journey mapping.
Merchandising
Partner with ecommerce manager to establish a localized digital merchandising and content strategy
Partner with allocation team to optimize best sellers and identify areas of opportunity based on local market trends
Margin and AOV focused to ensure we are supporting broader business/brand goals
Desired Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus
E-Commerce generalist/ web start-up background with proven experience growing a brand’s E-Commerce business rapidly: 8+ years of experience
Experience with Salesforce suite (Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
Strong skills in strategy and planning, budget and P&L management, merchandising, marketing, and google analytics
Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a cross functional team environment
Creative thinker and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and overseeing multiple projects at once and has attention to detail
E-Commerce experience in a US based subsidiary for a foreign brand is a plus
Knowledge of French is a plus
Salary $180,000-$240,000
