About the Role
The Company is in search of a high-performing Director to join its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within U.S. Corporate Banking, with a focus on insurance clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for client origination and relationship management, credit underwriting and execution, and risk and portfolio oversight. This role requires full accountability for both relationship management and credit underwriting, serving as a senior coverage officer for a portfolio of insurance companies. The Director will be expected to originate and structure corporate lending solutions, oversee credit execution, and drive cross-selling across the company's platform. Additionally, the role involves maintaining a deep understanding of portfolio performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and engaging in the career development and mentorship of the team.
To succeed in this position, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years' of relevant experience in corporate banking, credit underwriting, or corporate finance with a focus on insurance. A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related discipline is required, with an MBA or CFA being preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. insurance company structures, statutory and GAAP accounting, and regulatory capital frameworks, as well as exposure to structured products. A proven origination track record with complex institutional clients, excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, and the ability to lead underwriting from end-to-end are essential. The role demands a professional with the ability to take initiative, function independently, and maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct.
