Description: The Director of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations will be a critical member of the team that develops and executes the Company’s corporate communications and investor relations strategy, with a strong focus on external communications, including product and financial communications, to support the company’s business goals. The Director will also enhance investor relations activities and day-to-day IR operations, through investor/analyst engagement and targeting, collaboration with executive team on content creation including key messages, corporate presentations and other materials. The Director will play a pivotal role in maintaining the company’s public image, explaining the corporate story to investors and the media to include commercialization and pipeline progress as well as financial results and financing strategies. This role will report to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, Investor Relations and Patient Advocacy and have regular interactions with the executive team including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and other key members of the management team. Key responsibilities: Corporate Communications: work with the head of the function to develop materials to support data, regulatory and corporate milestones and events, including data press releases, Q&As, and media materials. Develop the strategy and execute the company’s digital strategy including updating website content and developing social media content around the company’s latest updates, events, and milestones. Cultivate relationships with the media to secure media coverage and prep executives and others for media interviews. Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including HR, Marketing, Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations to share the company’s product and pipeline progress. Manage external agency relationships. Investor Relations: work with the head of the function and CFO to develop and strengthen investor and analyst relationships. Develop and articulate a clear and compelling investment thesis that highlights the company’s strengths, opportunities, and financial performance. Drive the development of investor key messages, corporate presentations, quarterly/annual conference call scripts and slides, Q&A, and website updates. Lead the development and execution of IR events including investor conferences, road shows and R&D days. Execute data collection, analysis, and creation of reports about the company’s stock price, analysts’ valuations and financial models, industry and peer companies, competitor intelligence, and the overall stock market. Manage day-to-day IR operations, including investor engagement tracking, bank conferences, and periodic updates to executive team and Board of Directors. Manage external agency relationships. Ensure information complies with all guidelines and SEC regulations. Internal/Executive Communications: develop effective internal communications to inform and engage employees on company milestones and events. Support executive messaging, including talking points, Q&A, and materials for internal meetings and social media accounts. Skills & Experience: 12+ years in biotech/pharmaceutical industry. Direct experience in investor relations and corporate communications at a public biotech/pharmaceutical company. Financial acumen with strong understanding of financial statements, valuation models, and capital markets. In-depth knowledge of SEC regulations and other relevant securities laws. Ability to plan, develop and implement internal and external investor relations and corporate communications initiatives. Exceptional written and oral communications skills, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proven experience developing investor and media materials including presentations. Ability to distill scientific information into clear and concise corporate messaging and materials, including press releases and Q&A. Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions with all levels of the organization and manage and lead projects involving cross-functional teams. Strong collaborator that knows how to drive projects forwards, meets or exceeds deadlines and can work in a fast-paced environment.
