Director/Manager, Group and Ticket Sales, St. Louis Blues The St. Louis Blues Hockey Club, Enterprise Center and Stifel Theatre seek a passionate, self-starter for the role of Director/Manager, Group and Ticket Sales. This position is primarily responsible for managing various group and ticket sales initiatives to increase revenue to hit department goals. This position is also responsible for recruiting, training, and developing our new sales team.
Responsibilities
Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training and development of the new sales team.
Manage and execute sales campaigns to generate ticket revenue. Maximize upsell and upgrade opportunities for the mini plans.
Conduct bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with the new sales team to monitor growth and provide guidance to maximize individual production.
Foster a competitive, energetic, and accountable sales culture.
Generate new/increased sales revenue opportunities through effective leadership, implementation of best sales practices, development of sales strategies, sales training, inventory maximization and results tracking
Manage season ticket and group ticket inventory for St. Louis Blues games
Collaborate on theme night planning for ticket sales approach
Lead sales strategy for non hockey groups for Enterprise Center and Stifel Theatre
Organize various prospecting events to generate new leads and sales opportunities
Create, execute and track sales contests throughout the season
Work closely with the Business Intelligence department for lead generation and call campaigns
Assist in overall Ticket Sales & Services department strategic planning.
Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year College or University
5+ years of sales experience in the sports or hospitality industry
Minimum of 1-3 year of sales training or management experience preferred
Ability to work in a team environment is required along with strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and planning skills
Ability to coach, train and motivate sales representatives
Proactive with proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Strong critical thinking and conflict resolution skills handles difficult situations effectively, objectively, and with empathy.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize to adapt to rapid change.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ticketing software and in database usage
Proficiency in CRM or related software
Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including all home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays
